Several Key Factors that Determine the Quality of a Motor

Dec 21, 2023

What kind of motor is best? Which is better between a certain motor and another certain motor? Do I use motor A or motor B? Which motor is more energy-efficient?

This is the most common problem, and the production of motors includes these physical parts: magnetic steel, iron core, coil, frame, Hall, insulation paint, and phase wire. The following will analyze them one by one.

Magnetic steel has five indicators: grade, height, thickness, width, and quantity. The label represents the reflection of the magnetic flux per unit volume, which is the level of the magnetic steel. It cannot be seen with the naked eye and can only be listened to by the manufacturer. Height, thickness, width, and quantity, of course, the higher the thickness, the wider the quantity. The larger the volume of the magnetic steel, the higher the cost for the motor factory, and the greater the power for the user, which also means that the power consumption will be higher.

Based on the principle that the higher the manufacturer's cost, the greater the user's benefit, and on the premise of meeting their own requirements for strength, the higher the height * thickness * width * quantity, the better. However, for users, the thickness, width, and quantity cannot be determined. Everyone only knows that motors are said to be 30 high, 40 high, or 45 high.

Iron core, coil, copper purity (brass or purple copper, as long as not copper-clad aluminum), number of turns, thickness, and full slot rate are mainly these parameters.

Once the base is determined, the upper limit of spatial indicators related to quantity and volume is determined

Hall, electronic components, currently Honeywell brands are relatively good on the market.

Insulation paint requires better temperature resistance.

The thicker the phase line, the better. Generally, one square meter (excluding rubber) can meet the 10A current limit. For example, if your current control limit is 20A, the phase line needs to be more than 2 square meters.

Power - One of the indicators in motor performance, for example, if your original motor was 48V500W with a speed of 36 kilometers per hour, and you overpressure to 72V, you will find that the speed can reach 54 kilometers per hour. Dividing the speed of the motor by the voltage yields a more accurate result. For example, if your current speed is 45 kilometers per hour and your voltage is 72V, then the speed of your motor per volt voltage is 0.625. The speed of the other motor is 40 kilometers per hour, but the voltage is 48V. The speed per volt of this voltage is 0.83333, which one is faster will be determined by comparison.

Efficiency (Energy saving) - That's all about electric vehicle motors. The efficiency of the motors we use is generally around 82%, but if it's a regular product, the difference is only about 2%. You said your motor is very good, using cutting-edge technologies such as high-temperature superconductivity, which can only increase by up to 3 percentage points. However, I don't think the difference is too obvious.

This is why many people have reported that a certain motor (energy-saving version) does not clearly feel energy-saving.Our main products are High efficiency motor,Asynchronous motor,Synchronous motor,Electric motor,Dc motor,Ac motor,Premium gold motor,High efficiency electric motor.
