According to recent news, electric motors are essential production equipment for industrial and mining enterprises. How to make the electric motor reduce energy consumption, save electric energy and maximize its benefits in production? The following aspects should be considered comprehensively.
Reasonable selection of motor type. Y series motor is a new series of products designed uniformly across the country. It is the most advanced asynchronous motor in China. Its advantages are high efficiency, energy saving and good starting performance. When purchasing a new motor, you should first consider choosing a brand with high efficiency and energy saving, and then consider other performance indicators as needed to save electricity.
Reasonable selection of the rated capacity of the motor. The state has made the following regulations for the three operating areas of three-phase asynchronous motors: the economic operation area is between 70% and 100% of the load rate; the general operation area is between 40% and 70% of the load rate; the load rate is 40%. The following are non-economic operating areas. If the motor capacity is too large, although it can ensure the normal operation of the equipment, it not only increases the investment, but also has low efficiency and power factor, resulting in waste of electricity. Therefore, considering that it can not only meet the needs of equipment operation, but also improve the efficiency as much as possible, it is ideal to keep the load rate at 60% to 100%.
Energy-saving transformation of old-fashioned motors: (1) Replace the external fan of the motor and change the external fan of the motor to an energy-saving type. For different types of motors, there are corresponding energy-saving fan products to choose from, which are mainly used for single-direction operation. pole and 4 pole motors, the efficiency can be improved by 1.35% to 2.55% after modification. (2) Use new insulating material to increase the cross-sectional area of the wire. For high-voltage motors with asphalt mica tape dipping insulation, epoxy glass powder mica tape insulation can be used to save energy when the stator coil is overhauled.
Frequency conversion of the motor. Adopt other continuous speed regulation operation mode, use voltage regulator, pole changing motor, electromagnetic coupling speed regulator, frequency conversion speed regulation device, etc.
Increase the voltage of the motor. When the asynchronous motor is lightly loaded, reducing its external power supply voltage can save energy.
Improve power factor. Connecting an appropriate amount of capacitors in parallel at the outlet end of the asynchronous motor for reactive power compensation can improve the power factor, reduce reactive power loss, and effectively save energy.
